"For a week in all, I plagued Father Telow. Some days I merely hinted at my presence, and on others forced the priest into his bedchamber before the winter sun had set. I let him be long enough to regain his control over his brainless fellow and then I molested him until his face flushed a vibrant red and his breath came in bursts of steam, like vapor from a dragon’s nostrils. Father Telow spoke to no one about his condition and by the end of the week, I had memorized the prayers he uttered to fight his natural impulses."
