Haha, darn. I was hoping to be the first one to post... Oh well!

I'm hoping my NaNo this year to be a gangland adventure but I still have a little over a month to decide.

I've had a harrowing journey to find dragons on the brain since sometime this spring. Now I'll finally get to write it! (It was conceived specifically for NaNo, so I kinda had to wait...)

I'm succumbing to my love of werewolves. I've tried for the past two years to write something not werewolf because I write that on the off season, but this year I'm giving in. Tired of trying to fight against it.

I'm still deciding between the comedy/action story about a hostage situation in a Sam's Club type store, a geeky-hacker story, a treasure hunt, and another attempt at a spy thriller. Perhaps all three rolled into one?

Well, now I'm off to post the first topic in Comedy! Good luck, everyone!

Eh, I'm attempting a (not quite but sorta) fantasy-ish crazy story about unicorns and sword fights and zombies of deceased relatives.
Yep, It'll be scary.

I'm still debating between a werewolf story and a "shadow" story... November is almost here and I'm still clueless... hehehe

I'm thinking I'll be writing a steampunk adventure with sky pirates and crazy robots and kung fu fighting.

jack daw, sounds epic so far! B)

I'm doing an interdimensional fight for peace (maybe with hints of empire-building) and it will mostly be populated by robots. :3

i'm doing a race against time to stop a narcissistic fool (who also happens to be a terribly deadly swordsman) from basically bringing the world crashing down around him.

lots of journeying, werewolves, shadow-people, fighting, blood and gore. urban fantasy.

muahahahaha.

I'm writing a highly absurd adventure about an unassuming man who leaves his dull life looking for adventures, and eventually winds up dictator of a small Central American country at war with the US.

I'll probably do a sequel to last year's spy blogvel. Something to do with preventing TEOTWAWKI.
I hope to throw in a bunch of new nutty characters and maybe resurrect some old ones.

I haven't quite figured out whether my story is going to fit better under Adventure or Fantasy or Sci-Fi or what, but it's got dashing airship pirates and wild skyfaring tomfoolery and such.

It will be fantasy. Three relatively mundane humans, two of whom have issues with their lives get sucked into a fantasy realm and get taken in by a strange sorceress with a unicorn for a friend and a knight that thinks more about himself than any sort of code.

Otherwise it is a faith vs. magic conflict in which the uncontrovertible proof lies in a place that is going to take a quest to get to. Not sure what to make of it yet.

Mine is a bit of Adventure, some Sci-Fi, and some Fantasy... I have classified it as Sci-Fi for the time being 'cause of the presence of aliens... But there are also gypsies, and magic, and it is set in a kind of medieval time... With battles and the like...

Its gonna be so much fun!

Last year was my first NaNo and I posted in the 'Other Genres' lounge writing a Paranormal Romance/Mystery with witches, demons, vampires etc.
I had no idea I could have been hanging out with you Adventure types. It seems you are up for anything!
This year I'm thinking of blending Chick Lit with Adventure. Kinda' like casting Ugly Betty as Jason Bourne.
I travel alot so I want to work in the fantastic places I have visited. I'm thinking of settings like Geneva, the Greek Isles, Istanbul and Ecuador if I can tie it together.
Can't wait to start!

Ok - I'm sorta new at this, but I've decided to take a break from all my regular short story genres, and try my hand at some action/adventure mixed with a mystery/thriller/intrigue.

The plot is very loose at the moment, and I'm still undecided about subject matter, but it will be fairly layered while retaining good pacing.

It will be a prison break with a female central character - who only 'breaks out' after something happens and she goes searching for answers.

My story this year is a YA adventure and deals with human/animal hybrid experiments gone wrong. Government conspiracy, mad scientists and men in suits trying to clean up the mess before the world finds out.

I'm doing risk management operative in Asia meets a corporate intelligence officer (female) and they have to stop a hostile (real hostile) corporate takeover. Lots of explosions and dead bodies, evil villains and mercenaries.

I'm writing about a secret organization (think Illuminati) trying to benefit from the change/cataclysm happening around December 21, 2012 and the rogue operatives who oppose them. MC is a survivor of the organization's assassin training. Action/adventure/thriller, with lots of guns. Loosely based on the stories & characters of the Commodore64 games I've written...

I have the idea of writing an eco-thriller adventure romance. A little bit 'Indiana Jones', a spot of 'Romancing the Stone' and a dash of 'Mosquito Coast', with perhaps a couple of historical flashbacks.

I was thinking of an adventure/fantasy with some elements of sci-fi towards the end as the villain begins discover technologies such as computers, missiles and genetic engineering.

Fun :)
