Political writing, how fun. Last year I wrote something that was political on a subtle level, but it was a bit more sci-fi than to allow 'political' to be the primary genre.
This time around I've shifted the focus, towards a more apartheid-like situation. And I cannot wait to get stuck in, it should be a lot of fun.
Is anyone else going political?

I'm doing a political thriller. I'm extremely excited about it. There's just something about writing politics that makes me excited~
Where do you get your inspiration? (:
I read a lot of Brad Meltzer and Iris Johansen.

Me! I've got an urban fantasy/mystery about a demon at a political retreat which will be very much about party politics.

Basically, yes. The setting is dystopian (in not-so-distant future) and the story is about a group of revolutionnaires/rebels/freedom fighters/terrorists (depending from the POV). Huge influences from "V for Vendetta" (both the film and the graphic novel), "The Good Terrorist" by Doris Lessing (a novel set in London), the Chilean coup d'état (Pinochet & his junta), the revolution in Cuba... There will be sci-fi-themes and certain stuff inspired by Philip K. Dick.
----------This story has been (more or less) running inside my head for some years now, so I´m finally going to write it.
