Okay, so I--yet again--have no idea where to put my novel. If there were an action category, it would fit perfectly, but there's not. There's just mystery and adventure. My NaNoNovel this year would be in the same genre as... Well, the love child of The Bourne Identity and The Bank Job. It's about an average schmuck who gets turned over to a gang, and most of the novel is him figuring out why these people are after him. It's not mystery, per se, because there's no mysterious death that he has to figure out, and the mystery takes a backseat to the action for most of it anyway.

Any thoughts?

What about mainstream fiction? I think the accepted definition of that includes a lot of popular books like Robert Ludlum's. You could try starting a thread within that forum to see if there are fellow action folks around, too.

Well I need a genre of my own. Something that mixes YA (but not too young), adventure, mainstream, and a dash of fantacy, all rolled into one bundle of reality tv.
