Okay, one of my novels is going to be an informative book on Wicca. So anyone who practices any sort of tradition of Wicca, I'd love to hear from you if I could. NaNomail me if you feel more comfortable discussing it that way.
Also anyone who practices any form of witchcraft (candle magic, hedgewitchery, greenwitchery, etc) I'd also like to hear from you. I'm throwing in a section on the differences between the two terms and why they're not synonymous, and I'd like some examples. Very much appreciated! BB

LOL! Very true, but that wouldn't make for much of a chapter now wouldn't it? ;) But that'll be the basic premise of that chapter.

I was Wiccan for a couple of years - I don't know much, granted, but feel free to NaNoMail me anyway if you have any questions. (If you do a section on prejudice and how some people just can't help it - plus, how Wiccans are prejudiced against Christians at times, too, it really goes both ways - I might be helpful. My whole time as a Wiccan I tried really hard to feel comfortable around Christians, and although I came to respect them, I was still very nervous and afraid of them. So, yeah, I'm mostly only helpful on sections about perspective and not fact.)

My last reply got deletified in the Great Server Crash of 2008, so I'll try again. :) I'm Pagan, was Dianic Wiccan, now I'm too eclectic for that modifier to be a really good descriptor. (Plus, I'm loath to call myself "Wiccan", I feel it's stepping on the toes of initiated practitioners, whose Craft looks nothing at all like mine.) Feel free to NaNomail me if you'd like.

I'm not Wiccan, but I am an eclectic Pagan creating a new tradition with my husband.
In addition to casting spells, and writing the occasional celebratory rituals, I am a Reiki Master and Professional Tarot Reader and I enjoy dabbling in herbalism from time to time! Not that this means I'm any more knowlegable than the people who have already written on this list, but this way you know what areas I consider to be my "specialties".
Please ask any questions you need. I don't even mind answering them on open forum. I feel that the more good information we have out there the better!

Eclectic Wiccan here. I'm a member of a pretty academic trad and we like to help out with info, so I'm happy to be mailed :)
Oh and just to court controversy - I don't believe that "witch" (or "Witch") and "Wiccan" mean different things at all. I think that distinction is pure politics, and that repeating it is actually a really unhelpful and divisive thing to do; it just sets one part of the pagan community against another part for no reason. I'm not interested in getting into flamewars about this on forums - if it doesn't work for you, ignore it for pity's sake, I'm not the Pagan Pope. But if you'd like to discuss the issue level-headedly, feel free to message.

Oh true enough, it's not worth flamewar definitely. Actually you're the first person I've met that doesn't think they are different. I don't think it's so much politics as much as clarification, really. I have an acquaintance who is a Wiccan High Priest, and while he does practice a form of witchcraft and considers himself both Witch and Wiccan, he's one of the first to explain that not all Wiccans are Witches, and vice versa. Two of my very close friends are both Witches (one's a hedgewitch, the other's a hereditary witch), both proud of their paths, but they can't stand people thinking they're Wiccan just because of their Craft. What I'm going to try and do with that aspect of the book is outline that while Wiccans often practice a form of Witchcraft, there are other paths of the Craft also. I don't think we have to worry about setting the pagan community against itself; for the most part we're more accepting than not :)
