Mwa ha ha. (I’m laughing diabolically.)

Okay, everyone, gather close. Keep your voices down. The game is afoot...

I asked Montana to help us against Edinburgh, and I asked Edinburgh to help us against Montana. At the end of the month, I’ll add Edinburgh’s numbers to ours before comparing with Montana’s numbers, and I’ll add Montana’s numbers to ours before comparing with Edinburgh’s numbers. There’s no way either of these regions will be able to defeat us! I’m absolutely, positively, 100% sure nothing could ever, ever, possibly, in a million years, go wrong with this plan. We’re guaranteed to win the challenge this year.

What’s that you say? Google. What’s a google?

You mean people can search the internet and find anything I posted? And they might uncover my brilliant plan? Well maybe they won’t think to do so. Did that occur to you? Stop being so negative. Us Saskatchewan writers must stick together.

And stop going on about the forums being easily accessible by all Nanowrimo participants. Quit worrying. It’s guaranteed I tell you. Guaranteed. Just like that sub-prime, high-risk mortgage I took out last week and all that money I invested in American investment banks a couple months ago.

Nothing can possibly go wrong.

Mwa ha ha ha ha.

Shhh, Jessica....we'll just hang out here by the wall, pretending to go along with thier plan for awhile. I mean, it's obvious we can beat both them *and* Edinburgh, but it's so cute how they think they're all evil and diabolical...

What the poor montana children don't seem to realize is that this is OBVIOUSLY a ruse for our even MORE evil, diabolical plans to beat them. They're falling for our trap, Saskwrimos! We shall prevail!

Actually, I kinda missed it at first - I'm called an American quite often on forums cuz I seem to have the tendency of being the only Canadian. I just have an overwhelming, almost compulsive, urge to fix factual errors. You have no idea how often I spend yelling at the tv when it breaks/bends various scientific principles. It's why I cannot watch CSI, XD

Yeah... there are a lot of similarities between Canadian and American culture... except for the fact that Canada refers to itself as a multicultural mosaic and America is the melting pot. XD

And, y'know, America gets technology a hell of a lot cheaper than we do. Hmph.

Aww, how cute, they think they are diabolical...

Nothing can possibly go wrong? You just signed your own death warrant right there... :P

Good Luck to ya, not that it will do you any good!

Just TRY and take us on. Us and our army!

What army?

Why the army of drop bears of course!!! Beware Aussies bearing drop bears!

Maybe so, but you get cheap drugs so you can afford to stay alive and enjoy it. :p

(And our dollar's just fallen 33% to 0.65 USD, so you won't get any sympathy at all from down under if the conversation turns to costly imports!)

Bugger, I just checked and your dollar's about as bad as ours. Sucks when your economy's the global equivalent of a local kindergarten fete, dunnit?

Mmmm cheap drugs! What would I ever do without you?

With the technology thing, I'm mostly just aggravated that newegg has computer components super cheap... but doesn't ship to Canada. My computer is gunna cost twice as much as it would if I was American, dammit!

(premade computers generally cost about exactly the same, if I recall correctly)

So, how's this working out for y'all? Let's see... hmmm. The current word count scoreboard indicates that you guys are on 899,302 words, Edinburgh are on 924,851, and Montana are on 1,154,361. So Saskatchewan+Edinburgh beats Montana, and Saskatchewan+Montana beats Edinburgh. Looks like your original nefarious scheme is working!

It's just a shame that at 3,566,190, Melbourne are wiping the floor with all three of you combined. *sheds a tear*

Well that just means that Melbourne is most likely to win The "Carpal Tunnel Award" for the region that writes the most words in total. There are other awards you know...

I imagine the Carpal Tunnel (Individual) award will end up going to Hanxa, who is currently on 418,945 words and not showing any sign of stopping.

I believe someone mentioned that she was one of the Dark Gods of Writing at some point.

I personally just think that she has an alternate personality who comes out when she's asleep and makes explosives ups her word count.

I'm throwing my hat in the ring, despite the fact that we got a new puppy on Sunday. He is adorable, but you know, watching puppies takes time. To relieve my angst over the new baby in the house, my main character inexplicably acquired a puppy...on board ship...heading into battle...you can imagine how many words that added.

Mind you, I lost steam going to Regina airport to pick up the puppy (5 hour drive there and back). Then there was the day after, which we had to take off to acclimatize the baby and calm him down after his traumatic plane ride. I started writing again though. Not 32,000 plus words a day like Hanx, but enough to entitle me to some diabolical laughter of my own.

bwahahahahahahaaaaaa

I disagree! The lack of emotes makes me so very, very happy! God, I hate those things.

For Hanxa's insane speed... well, apparently she wasn't sleeping for awhile there. I'm still convinced that she's largely spewing out garbage since she said something about how you should just keep writing even if it means having fluffy pink bunnies attack.

Either that or she really does have almost 120 wpm. Which I suppose isn't unheard of... just uncommon, XD Clearly I need to up the ante with my typing speeds.

YOU need to up the ante with your typing speeds? The only word war you lost on saturday was the one where your computer decided it hated life! And even then, you were darned close!
... *goes and cries in corner*

I didn't know that fluffy pink bunnies attacking=garbage ... Personally, I think there's ways of putting that in that are really creative and take genius.

Either way ... I think I'm set to lose at these award things. Now I'm going to type lots, in hopes of catching up and scraping by the 50000 line in time ;)
