Synopsis: Disenchanted

Brooke's life is anything but easy. She is practically thrust into a different world without a choice when her mother and father lose their lives on their way back from visiting Brooke's grandmother. Left alone to fend for themselves since her Uncle is unreachable, Brooke and her six year old brother are coerced into moving to Japan to live with their new Guardians; Her Grandfather and Aunt respectably.

It wouldn't be a difficult transition, since Brooke already knows mostly about the cultural difference and the language fluently, but her features are the one that stands out. Life is complicated for Brooke as she transitions from her old life to a new one. She makes friends along the way as well as enemies.

Brooke must learn to stand up for what she believes is right, while trying to piece together the scandals and lies that rock her world about her family's already tarnished family name. Investigating gets her deeper and deeper into her Grandfather's torrid, tumultuous past that brings her into more danger.

Will Brooke be able to find her niche in an already devastating home? Or will she regret ever allowing herself to agree to move to Japan where her life becomes more difficult than it already was?
