Synopsis: It was the Butler.

Clive M. Higgins, a most excellent butler by all accounts, murders his employer one morning. Having been detected by a meddlesome inspector, Cuthbert Cotterill, he narrowly escapes arrest and flees in the family car. He must then run through England, Wales, America and parts of Canada, all the while pursued by the manically ambitious Cotterill. Why did he kill his employer? Will his adventures actually sustain me for fifty thousand words? How is the perfect cup of tea really made?
Ask me in December.
