Synopsis: Unbecoming
Alan, Leo, and Macey are eleventh graders at a New England prep school. They are best friends, despite being so vastly different in economic circumstances, personality, grades -- pretty much every area it's possible to be different from another human being. In their mythology class, they are assigned to give a report on an obscure eschatologic prophecy. The prophecy in question concerns the five demonic templates of man that will bring about the end of the world.
The boys go to an occult shop to get more information, where they meet a serious believer who helps them with their research -- research that reveals some disturbing things. Like the engravings from the ancient scrolls: the three demons to first appear look astonishingly like the boys themselves. And even the smaller details match: that the demons would pull and band together despite their many differences. It all fits way too well.
They don't believe it, of course. They do their report, get an A, and forget about it.
Until . . .
They are determined to not end of the world, but as they begin to revert, they lose their own personalities and become full-on demon, forced to act out their true nature, so all their motivations and perspectives completely change. They have to find the fourth and fifth demons and put a stop to it -- but can they fight the demon inside to save what they're meant to destroy?
