Okay! I have a basic premise...now I just need to find a way to act it out that has not been beaten to death with a thousand cliches.
My MC is a teacher/amateur photographer. She originally wanted to be a professional photographer and she was pretty good at it, but a horrible accident left her crippled, delayed her schooling, and she got a teaching degree rather than pursue her original dream.
Now there are two guys trying to be part of her life and they both want something from her. There's something about her photographs that can...do...something? Save the world, perhaps. lol.
I know both guys are linked to a fantastical/supernatural level of the world and one wants her help for good reasons while the other's motivations are not so pure. I just have no idea what's so special about these photographs. Any ideas for magical pictures?

It might be cliched...but maybe the photos captures souls.
Or they capture images of the dead/ghosts...or capture something about a person or place that predicts their future or reveals their past, enabling someone to solve crimes or prevent catastrophies.
Those are the first things that pop into my head.

It can show the expiration date of a person, like on the bottom of the photograph.
Maybe it could show a light or something in the center of the person, to show that they're really like, such as halo or horns kinda thing.
It could also show their opposite, like if she took a picture of a girl with pigtails and glasses, it would show a guy with wavy hair and no glasses.
Clear as mud? ^_^

The pictures could have the ability to inspire people to do great things or fulfill their destinies. Or could show hints about their destinies themselves.
