Brief Author Bio:

Windy was born one morning in February during a blizzard. This has nothing to do with any of the rest of his life, but it's kind of interesting.

Having been an avid fan of the written word from a very young age (he learned to read at four so that he could better enjoy the comics page in the newspaper), he first started writing around age seven. His interests ranged from very short stories to intellectual papers discussing the division of animals into bird, mammal, reptile, and amphibian.

Unfortunately, until November 2007, those were among the last stories he saw to completion.

In 2004, he stumbled upon the concept for National Novel Writing Month and attempted (quite independently) to reach the goal. It didn't work.

In 2006, he again attempted the challenge, this time taking advantage of the community and write-ins. However, an ill-advised attempt to convert an eight-year-old laptop to linux ended with a heap of melted eight-pound pencil and a broken spirit.

Not to be deterred, he thrust himself back into the challenge in 2007, this time emerging victorious with a giant STEAMING pile of crap. With little nuggets of corn. He's been hooked ever since.

Synopsis: UNLESS

Theodore, a young boy living under a polluted sky in a trash-clogged city is given a gift. A very precious, sacred gift. He is entrusted with the last Truffula seed of them all.

Will he bear the awesome responsibility that it carries? Or will he cast it off like all the rest?

(Based on Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.)
