Synopsis: Starlight
Zach Stone has lived on Earth for the past seventeen years, wondering why his life felt like a lie. But after a mass-murderer attacks the one person he feels drawn to, he learns the truth. He's a Quan- a Magical-Being -and the life he has been living has been a lie. Returning to his home, Zach learns about this life he has been deprived of for seventeen years. This utopia is not all that it seems; Atrus Makita wants his blood for thwarting his plan and will stop at nothing to get it. The one person Zach cannot stop thinking about is his defender, but as Emma protects him she puts her life in even more danger. Atrus wants her Magic, which would kill her if taken. Zach and Emma fight to keep each other alive, knowing that as time passes their lives will change drastically, and that Atrus Makita is not one to be crossed.
Excerpt: Starlight
“It could mean our deaths, Zach. Atrus is vile and he is lethal. You have to listen to me when I tell you that if he gets the chance, he will not hesitate to kill either one of us. Nor anyone who gets in his way. He has always gotten what he wants, and he never gives up until he does.”
I stared at her, realizing how horrified she was about all this. What Atrus wants, and what the Federation told her.
"You honestly think we’re going to die, don’t you?”
“I don’t see how we can stop him,” she whispered.
