Excerpt:
Aimee’s pizzas finished baking in the oven and she turned on the broiler to brown the cheese. She still wondered what other purpose a broiler might have. Even Tim had some friends who believed that that was all the broiler function was good for - browning cheese. Having brown cheese must be a pretty important thing if there’s a separate function just for that on an oven. And why call it ‘broil’ then? Why not be more explicit and have ‘cheese browner’ on there instead, so all would know it’s true function by its name? In any case, in a few minutes the pizza had nicely browned cheese and Aimee could soon enjoy a tasty, quick supper.
