Brief Author Bio:

Hi! I'm that batty author who thinks she's an elf! This is my second year on NaNo, and I'm writing fantasy, as usual. Happy noveling, and Good Luck.

Synopsis: Wyrmslayers

Marie, Kat and Isabel thought they had won the fantasy lottery when a portal in Isabel's attic takes them away from a boring, rainy summer to a perfect (if slightly cliched) magical land called Thorntree, but instead they find themselves roped into a dangerous task. Dragons have been unleashed on Thorntree, and it's up to the three girls, as the only humans in the world, to kill them. There's just one problem: Marie, Kat and Isabel aren't fantasy heroines...they're just kids, unskilled in weapons and squeamish about blood.Thankfully, they've got help: with an elvish weapons-maker and a talking cat for friends, they might just get through it...but how on earth are they going to get home?

Excerpt: Wyrmslayers

Kat stared. "What is that?"
“What is what?” Isabel stared in the direction indicated by Kat’s finger. “All I see is…a little green light?”
They could all see it now, a small, jade green blob that was rapidly growing larger and larger, until it was six feet high and three feet wide, and spinning like a cartwheel. Not only that, it was also getting closer.
“Grab hands!” screeched Isabel, grabbing one of Kat’s as she spoke. Marie had just enough time to grab her sister’s other hand before the wheel of fire reached them. For a moment, all was jade colored light and silence. Then, with three very pronounced bumps, the girls landed in a place that was definitely not Isabel’s attic.
