Brief Author Bio: No, I don't look anything like my av, which I used once-upon-a time in another Internet site and thought was apropos for this site. Besides, I don't Photoshop very often and hated to waste it!. Oh ... bio? I've taught here and there since 1967, mostly language arts, but I also escaped into the real world for a few years and existed by being a salesman, political campaign publicist, radio newsman, newspaper editor and photographer, personnel manager, and by other means which were legal but I somehow can't seem to remember just now ... |

Synopsis: High School Yearbook: The Drama
Somewhat typical coming-of-age, but MC (yearbook editor) discovers dirt on a less-than-sterling principal and her adviser, who is a lush, and has to make decisions whether to play their game or do the noble thing and possibly lose a scholarship that she must have in order to go to college. Her mentor is a zany, murky, mysterious female custodian who pops in at the end of each chapter to be MC's sounding board and to offer offbeat advice, some of which is just crazy, some of which is crazy enough to make sense and work. (ps: Only one character, an old lady, was killed off in this novel. However, two of the baddies went to jail.)
