Synopsis: Another Destiny

My idea for my book, so far, is a vampire novel, split into three parts. Each part is a different era . . . first colonial era Haiti, though that isn't actually stated in the story itself. Second is turn-of-the-century Chicago, and that's probably going to be the biggest part of the book. Third is a modern era, i'm looking at the eighties, 'cause i looooove that decade (look at my musical preferences), but i'm still looking for a place - i'm thinking of either staying in chicago or setting it in san francisco or new orleans. Oh, and Fun Fact - i've never lived in anny of these places : ) oh well, back to the story.
The book follows the life of Carlotta St. Jean, which you must have noticed is my screen name for this site - go figure. Carlotta is born in colonial Haiti, and is turned into a vampire - no surprise there. The rest of the book just follows her through her lives, both mortal and immortal. There's romance, 'cause i've never done romance, and i'm trying to branch out as a writer, and can you really write a vampire story without some romance or eroticism? really? There's some angst, 'cause Carlotta never got over her brother's death (no spoiler, really, he dies in the prologue) or her botched wedding (again, not really a spoiler, it happens in the first few chapters). and basically i make her life a living hell for a couple centuries : ) yeah, she's probably gonna kill me in my sleep before i get to the end . . .
well, so much for a "short" synopsis . . .
