Brief Author Bio:

...I hate these.

I am an unmotivated psycho who decided that even though her November was already full of things, she would take on this huge challenge. I say huge because I have no focus. At all. I put off my writing with other writing. I should actually be continuing my earlier WIP instead of starting this... but oh well.

Synopsis: Hearth and Home

Adora has been a slave to Hestia since she was five years old. It's her life and in Ancient Athens, it's the best life she could hope for.

Hestia, however, hopes for much more. She hopes for more than a life locked inside.

She hopes to run away.

And Adora isn't going to let her leave alone.

Excerpt: Hearth and Home

I'm in a big room, much bigger than my old one back at the slave shop. It's warmer too. There's a little girl on the daybed, yawning.

The big lady pushes me toward her. They tell me that I'm going to watch over her, that she owns me now. This seems weird to me, but I can't argue. This girl doesn't seem to be old enough to own anybody. I step to her and she smiles at me.

“I'm Hestia,” she squeaks, slurring in the way little kids do. I'm not a big kid either, but I'm not that little.

“Hello, Mistress,” I greet her, using the words the big lady told me.

“What's your name?” She asks, and I answer, obediently, just like I'm supposed to.

“I'm Adora.”
