Synopsis: To What End

The Southern Empire has been growing and dominating the lands for over 1500 years, but in recent times their growth has been halted by inner turmoil and dispute over the ethics of conquest and oppression. Those who wish to expand have gained control though, and a new weapon has been developed which will allow them to make up for lost time in their conquest of northern lands.

Azazeth, a northern man, and his group of raiders become caught up in the power struggle of the empire when they run into an exiled group of former nobles, intent on rebelling and taking control in order to stop the terrible oppression of the empire and halt the unethical conquest of the northern lands. They do not know the impossibility of what they stand against though, nor do they understand the full intentions of those in power.
