Excerpt: A New adventure

Now she lied on the floor, her limbs bent at an awkward angle that blatantly enhanced the fact that she was indeed dead. The twin holes on the side of her neck with blood trickling to the floor told the tale of how she died. The neck was bruised and bent unnaturally, with blonde hair fanning over a pale face. Blue eyes stared sightlessly upward, tear track still noticeable even though they’ve dried. Lips adorned with a pale rose lipstick were opened as if permanently caught in a gasp of surprise. Standing a couple of feet away from the body, Janette stared sightlessly at the woman that she considered a friend.
Today her lust for blood overcame any bond that lay between them, when Lydia told her that she was getting married the anger and abandonment that arose from her made the memory of her attack blurry. All she knew was the bitter taste of a friend’s blood, a friend whose blood whispered only love and affection towards her. A friend, if her blood tells a true tale, was excited to ask her to become her Maid Of Honor.
Her trembling fingers pressed the buttons to the only number that she bothered to put to memory, she telephoned the only one that would understand her plight, that could explain to her why blood tears fell from her eyes, she called Nicolai.
