Synopsis: Homa

Since the arrival of the Zecla, Umuns have lived in the tunnels under Erth, tolerated, managed, and exploited. Muree and her little brother Joh, born outside the creches and living a life of thievery, have escaped the notice of the Zecla so far. When they are forced to flee Erth to escape being sold to pay off their father's debts, they discover they have been infected with the terrible Homa virus, which kills over half its victims. Trapped on the Over-Homa space station, tracked by both the station guards and their new owners, Muree has to make a terrible choice: her brother's life or her freedom.
