2) Jojo's mother, heroin overdose, self inflicted.
3) Roscoe (a rival drug dealer), shot by Wayne.
4) Unnamed squirrel on Hampstead Heath, narrow escape when Wayne tested the gun.

My novel starts with the cops gathered around a dead body. He was a homeless guy the locals knew as Abel, but he will be revealed to be the heir to a large fortune.
I have a sister-in-law of the deceased also to be deceased. She unwittingly led the killer to the homeless guy. She was a social-climbing bitch anyway.
My protagonist has so far been drugged, and will probably be shot, thought not fatally, by the end of the story, depending on how desperate the killer gets.

So far it's just Joe, the driver, and Beth, the cook, both victims of bombs.
My MC had her hand cut off by kidnappers when she was five, and she's also going to end up getting fatally shot at the end of the piece.

1) Random Target employee, all kinds of knifed up.
2) Prior to the novel's start, but only now revealed: the MC's older brother died of cold exposure (in July--dun dun duh!) three years earlier.

Rest in Peace:
Mr. Jeffersen
Who was dead from the start but is living throughout the novel. It was because of him that we had something to solve but no one to capture. It was because of him that the Jail in the town is empty. And it is because of him that his sidekick is out there, finishing everything. Only, his sidekick isn't human.

Julius Brentåsen died from the effects of brandy poisoned with pure nicotine. When the detective tried to help him he vomited dinner and blood all over her nightgown. He later died in hospital in great pain. Only the detective suspected murder because he was an alchoholic and had been to hospital before.

The only dead guy in my story is William White, the church musical director. Found at the bottom of the basement steps by the church custodian. Now, it would be nice if I knew who-done-it. I have an entire group of church members and even the pastor as possible suspects.

Chalotte Brentåsen was strangled in her sleep. The detective Lena had given her sleeping pills so she slept heavily. Then the murderer came in and drugged her some more with some ether or similar substance. Then she was strangled with a cord. The murderer put her on the floor and put a chain around her neck for the sake of effect. Also, the bed was made. Lena was woken ut by the sounds but took a sleeping pill herself and fell asleep again. Guess if she will blame herself for this one.

My werewolf MC has taken a few near misses. One silver bullet to the gut, one lamia who likes werewolf blood, a trained Irish Wolfhound.
Only death so far is the Irish Wolfhound, an unfortunate brute of a beast named Silver who took on the wrong wolf and had his spine snapped in a dog/wolf fight. The hunter cult Children of Van Helsing are still aggravated over the death of the dog.

The nurse Susanna Halfarson was found beaten to death in the head with a fire fork and with her hands bound and sitting with the head in the chimney.
Actually I think this was the most boring murder in the novel, but she was asking for it. She had to die, you know what I mean.

Östen Brentåsen was found in his bed, stabbed to death in the stomach. A bloody hunting knife was found in the corridor outside the room. The son was arrested because the knife was his, given to him by Östen as a birthday present.

Erland Brentåsen killed himself in a police cell. He couldn´t live with the deaths of his entire family and beeing blamed for the killing of his father. He strangled himself with torn pieces from his own clothes. I didn´t know that was even possible.

Jon Bole, the burglar, broke into the Brentåsen house to steal all their alcohol. Unfortunately one bottle was poisoned and had already killed Julius Brentåsen. Jon didn´t know this so he had a party and drank bottle after bottle until he came to the poisoned one and met his horrible death.
Jon Bole was probably the last person to die in this novel.

Julie, Chris's little sister, was smothered with a pillow.
Rosie, Chris's mom, suffered an unestablished death...I'm not sure exactly how she died yet but the murderer made it look like suicide. Somehow. XD
Frank, the number one suspect for the murders, died of a heart attack before Chris/the police even realized it WAS murder
Random Goldfish, Thomasina's pets, mentioned in passing as residing in quite a formidable cemetary in the backyard :D
And these two near-misses haven't happened yet, but Thomasina's gonna have a brush with very serious food poisoning (enough to be hospitalized for a while) and Chris is gonna be stabbed in the final encounter with the real murderer.

My victim is Ilsa Levitsky, a young woman whose nude body is found by two geo-cachers atop a small tree or bush, below an elevated highway. She has been strangled and thrown from the highway, and preliminary evidence indicates sexual assault.
She also appears to be around 12 years old, but there is no report of a missing child matching her description, and when the police finally identify her, no records whatsoever of her even existing, other than the immigration records of her arriving from Belarus.

Through the time line of the novel the first killer has taken 9 lives. His son, however, decided to be 'just like his dad' and killed his father's 10th victim. The dad doesn't like that and, though didn't kill his son, contemplated it.
The other killer, just debuted in the story, has taken the lives of 12 young boys, the first being the MC's son. My MC was mugged but successfully broke the kid's finger and disarmed him before any dangers could ensue.
My MC had to handle a car accident, the members were fine but I'm contemplating a death from a little boy because of a fatal concussion to stir the memories of the MC. (he would have to attend the funeral)
MC's new female partner Anne had a family member die recently, her mom, which caused her to go into an emotional tailspin.
And, now that I remember, my MC had to go into a well and hunt for clue's, finding 4 bodies (from the 10 of the original killer). He freaked when he did and clawed at the walls, scraping up the tips of his fingers.
I think that does it for deaths and injuries...

Candy Floss: stripper/showgirl, depending on whenever my novel decides to be set. It's having decade issues at the moment. She gets too smart, sadly she's a blonde who uses the dumb stereotype just a little bit more than she should and I believe that is what gets her killed.
I was hoping to kill the redhead, Katherine Thrush, but so far I believe she's hired a very good bodyguard and won't be dying anytime soon. She may also have pictures suitable for blackmailing a senator, the very one who's trying to have her killed.
Both ladies are major characters and neither has met my detective yet, but it will happen in the next few days.

I suppose I should add that a bad guy gets killed, too, when he decides to have a shoot out with the police.
He doesn't get named, though, and has very little page space.

Viscount Linley was found bleeding in the road, shot in the shoulder but not dead. He has not yet regained conscousness, so nobody knows who shot him or if he's still in danger. (except me)
He's being guarded day and night by his grandmother and his two young cousins, Chloe and Amelie.
I suspect that by the end at least one of the dashing French emigres will die of stab wounds, possibly at Linley's hand.
