Just want to say that for the lst time in 4 yrs i shall not be a 'winner' BUT i do want to acknowledge Chris and Cybele and all here for the chance to use this opportunity to LOOK at one's life. These few words written this month as i rushed here and there have proven to be insightful and instructive to my life. I am grateful for the process, even tho disappointed in my output. I did write a little every day in November. Thanks Nano for being here!

I'd normally move this to the "NaNo Ate My Soul" forum, as it's not specifically about Other Genres. But I think it's important for people to acknowledge how much work goes into running this forum, by Chris, Cybele, Russ, Tavia, Heather (Dragonchilde) et. all.
I think if you estimate how much time and effort goes into keeping the site running and everything - and then triple or quadruple it, you might be near the mark (I imagine, because I don't know myself). But I know how much time it's taken me, reading all the posts and threads in this forum and "NaNo Ate My Soul" (which I also moderate), and it has taken hours. And that's just 2 forums ("NAMS" is admittedly very posty this year), let alone all the other genre forums, age forums, help forums, plot forums, games... And not just reading, but moving threads, PMing people when needed about things they've posted (for support or a warning)...
I think Chris, Heather and everyone have deserved a huge thanks, much coffee, and a dark room in which to sleep for a month ;-)
A PM of thanks may be nice, but I know that nothing says thank you like a donation. So that next year, they can do it all again :P ('cos they're crazy like that!). I'm off to donate now (I got a halo for being an ML/mod).
If you had a good time - whether you won or not - please think about a donation, even if it's only $10. It'll mean the site can return next year, even bigger and better.
