Long story short: My book revolves around the fact that my FMC, an 18 year old human, summons a 200 year old demon lord, (Evil Faerie, they look and act human, despite the difference in aging and a crimson ring around their eyes,) who she then is able to control through the stone she used to summon him.
While she, like any other teenager, finds him attractive, she is able to refute him, therefore voiding his ability to hypnotize her, and uses her ability to keep him out of trouble. He hates her for this, and constantly reminds her of her fragile morality.
About 40k into the novel, he threatens her to use the power in a way that would cause problems. She, in hopes of making him angry, forces him to kiss her. He does so immediately, (He has no choice,) and they break apart as quickly as they started. That night, he has a dream about her, (Demon's don't usually have dreams, it's his first that isn't a nightmare,) and can't stop thinking about her. She gives him the stone shes been using to control him soon after. He reveals his dream to her, and then vanishes due to an outer problem.
She finds the whole thing to be ridiculous, though she still finds part of herself drawn to him. They're about to be reunited.
Before their reunion, he will have dreamed about her again, and, in simple terms, cannot stop thinking about her. He has no real concept of what he's feeling, as he's been isolated for a few centuries. She, on the other hand, thinks his sudden change of heart is too much. I'm not sure where I want this to go, but they're going to be in the same area for a few chapters, and then he is going to vanish again, so I don't know what sto do.
TL;DR;
MMC hates FMC. MMC dreams about FMC, falls in love. FMC is suspicious, then MMC vanishes. They're about to be reunited, what should I do?

Xelsai - what a great story line! I'd say your MC needs to find a way to trust his own heart...the FC is the key, of course, and she must find a way to trust that what he is feeling is real...via in the way he kisses her, touches her, the look in his eyes, etc. It might be a nice twist to have the all powerful demon lord actually experience fear...as in the thought of losing her forever if he can't convince her his love is real. The result is he feels he must separate himself from her to come to terms with these alien emotions...thus the vanishing act. Hope that helps.
