Some years ago, I've read in an essay about creative writing that making one line blurbs is simply an art. Needless to say, I since then I have become obsessed with writing the perfect blurb for each of my stories (sometimes it takes me weeks...) Am I the only one so crazy about it, or is there actually somebody that understands me? xD

Also, if we're still here, how could you summarize your nano in 25-30 words?

Mine would be something among the lines:

"If you told me that tomorrow I would be hitting my heard and started hearing the thoughts of all the people crushing on me I’d say you were out of your mind…"

Sorry if this topic has already been posted, I didn't find it. :)

Hmmm... interesting...

"When the good guys act like bad guys and the bad guys act the same, how come it's up to the accidental vamp to save the day?"

I swear I didn't mean to rhyme... lol.

"There need to be more books in the world with nightmares, puppies, angst, and ferris wheels."

Um, yeah. That's really all there is to know about my novel right now. It's getting edited like whoa...after Christmas.

Memories are chancy things, especially when you can't remember anything that happened to you prior to waking up with what looks like a fatal scar on your chest and the idea that somehow, some way, you have to prove yourself to the world and overcome the past you can't remember.

The memories of the school's past resurface as five students find more then they mean to uncover in the hidden truths of years gone by.

BAM!

25 words exactly. But maybe it needs tweaking..

In an asylum-turned-boarding school, five students find more then they mean to uncover in the hidden truths of years gone by.

Following the dreams of others teaches you who you aren't; it's only when you've got nothing left to guide you but your own heart that you learn who you are.

A mutant clone with anger management issues kicks the shit out of a secret military base. And zombies.

I thought of this at work last week and actually laughed out loud in front of my coworkers, yah, they think I'm crazy
But, believe it or not, my book isn't quite as silly as this makes it sound B3

When personalities clash, bad things happen and when you are having an argument with a werecat, be prepared to lose.
Hmmm...
I guess that explains my conflict. :D

"For the future's teenagers, high-tech, high-stakes crime is somewhere between skateboard and cigarette; but when a heist goes tragically awry, one boy decides to live straight, and in the process learns the meaning of justice. "

Is a life spent indoors much of a life at all? Giving up everything you know is hard, but it just might bring about something that seems an awful lot like happiness.

Oops, too long...

How about...

Home shouldn't just be a place you're trapped; it should be a place you're wanted.

Rule # 1: Never discuss your plan to overthrow the crazy sorceress queen in front of her pet vulture.

lol, 19 words. That's just the one people seem to like. If I had to do this for real...

When you're the illegitimate daughter of the King, when the world thinks Snow White is your fraternal twin, when trust is only a rare treasure to be betrayed, there is only one truth: What Doesn't Kill You Makes You The Villain.

41 words. Too bad, I like it.

Or just "What doesn't kill you makes you the villain". That's practically the theme of my book now. o.O

"One missing kid who reads The Great Gatsby, one crazy, alcoholic playboy of a computer genius, one mob boss who drinks too much coffee and hasn't eaten or slept in two days, and terrorists from the Soviet Union...and poor Dria is left to deal with all of them."

Yeah, I could do better, but that's basically the story.

First person from my MC:

"Just because I'm a heroin addict, a prostitute, poor, steal to make money, killed a man, had parents who were German spies, and was nearly convicted of arson does not make me a bad person, and you Mr. Devereux, will fall completely in love with me, whether you're too pig headed to admit it or not."

My Novel in one sentence?
"Fucked Up." xD joking.

hm, this is interesting but so hard!

I guess I'd go with:

"A guy with childhood issues-- and superpowers thrown into the mix-- has to face his biggest fear."

Such a generic story line and yet it has its purely unique moments =)
