Hey everyone,

I just wanted to say it's been a pleasure nanoing with you all again this year. Congratulations to everyone who participated-- whether you made the 50,000 word mark this time around or not. Without this group, I may still have achieved my word count (and I'm about 300 words premature as I write this), but I wouldn't have had as much fun. Or procrastinated as effectively. Good luck with your editing and with catching up on the rest of your lives. See you all next year, same time, place, etc.

yes, a real pleasure :) I procrastinated quite a bit, and good to see you made it to 50K! I've got 2 1/2 hours left till midnight, and 4K left to go! I'm rockin' it till the very end!!

Yay! I actually really like my novel this year and everyone I've read pieces to likes it. So this maybe the year I push to publish.

kimby, me too! i have a bunch of my friends reading it and the LOVE it! I may actually finish it off and edit it so it's actually good, lol...

I PUSHED today and totally wrote 13,000 words, and it is just 11:23, I had a good forty minutes to spare, haha... I feel GOOD about winning this year, as the last time I did NaNo I was SOOO close at like, 46K and didn't make it...

Yay!! This was a great experience, and I loved the feedback that I got from all of you here in the Chick Lit lounge.

I'm so excited today because I finally showed my novel to my sister (the first reader) and she ditched all of her studying because she was drawn into it and wanted to know what happened next... and the ending made her cry. SQUEEEE!! Hehe, I suppose making my sister cry and possibly fail this semester of college isn't such a good thing, but I just got a total new wave of enthusaism for all of the hard-core edits and rewriting that is ahead of me.

Congrats to everyone!!

Maya

That's cool, Maya, it's so good when you know you have moved someone with what you have written!
