Title: Both Sides Now
Just over 100 pages in MS Word, English, 1st draft
Brief Summary: Amelia is a young English girl in NYC standing on the Brooklyn Bridge one night thinking about jumping, she is stopped by Jack who just wants to help her. They spend the entire night talking in an all night cafe as the novel goes back and forth between the key events in Amelia's life, and her present conversation with Jack, leading her to question her reasons for wanting to end her life, and his reasons for wanting to save her.
Sub Genre & Keywords: Life, death, suicide, love, drugs, hope
Known Issues: It was started with no planning or idea and just kind of grew. Lot of inconsistancies due to this. The theme of nicknames came through as I wrote, and this needs to be explored in a lot more depth I think. Generally, the complete lack of any plan shows through!
Critique Requested: Feedback on general plot please, does it make sense? Are the characters believeable? Also the nicknames again, does this work?
Critique Tolerance: Give me what you got!
Experience & Goals: My first full novel, but I've been writing short stories for years. Hopefully looking to publish but need to iron out a lot of creases first.
Method of Communication: E-mail please, wascal_with_spiwit@hotmail.com
Anything else?: Drug use frequent, some strong lauguage throughout.

Interested in a swap?
I've got 2 parts to my nano, hopefully two distinct and complete parts. I'd be interested in hearing feedback on Ava's Sunflower-
Steven Thomas is a normal, run of the mill corporate trainer living in Atlanta, Georgia. His life is turned upside down, when in the middle of Texas, he gets a call from the Sheriff of Columbus, Georgia, telling him his mother, stepfather, and sister all died in a car wreck on the way to pick up his niece, and that he needs to pick up his niece from daycare. He flies back, and starts dealing with funeral arrangements, the sudden arrival of a six year old child, and his new life.
----------Back for year #5
The goal: Something other than my norm of spiritual lit, and finish it. Update - the muse has decided I must split my first idea into 2. nuts.
