Okay, I need some help characterizing my sibling pair here. A little background so this makes sense:
Vincent, Raye, and Evelyn have always been best friends, since about kindergarten or so. Vincent and Raye are brother and sister. Now, they're 23 years old, Vincent and Evelyn dated recently and both got burned bad but are trying to stay friends and not put Raye in the middle.
Evelyn was being stalked, however, and gets kidnapped in chapter 1. Vincent had been staying with her and Raye at his sister's insistence, as Evelyn had been really depressed and she was afraid she might try to hurt herself if left alone too long. General awkwardness and tension ensues, of course.
There are lots of things going on in the book--Vincent dealing with Evelyn's rejection, Raye knowing more than she lets on about why Evelyn rejected him and all that, their general anxiety about her whereabouts, and, then, as a plot twist mostly to throw off my detective, the fact that they find out she was pregnant when she disappeared and didn't tell either of them.
How might Raye and Vincent be interacting with each other? They're both very close and protective of each other, but naturally, there's water under the bridge and a lot going on now (Raye is now being stalked by Evelyn's kidnapper). What kind of scene might characterize these two and the relationship they have? I'm at a loss here, mostly because the only brothers I have are much younger than me and our relationship is very different than the one these two would have.
Thanks for all your help in advance!

The first thing to consider is age. You said they're 23. Are all of them 23, which would most likely make Vincent and Raye twins? I think twins interact differently than usual siblings, although I wouldn't know from experience. If one is older than the other that will also make a difference. An older brother would probably either the protective loving kind, the kind who tries to give advice all the time, or the one who generally wants to do his own thing but will humor his sister. An older sister (granted her brother's not s pain in the ass) would most likely be nurturing. Although it really depends on their personalities.
If I had this situation I might write a scene where they kind of pick on each other. Bring up instances from their childhood or just allude to them.

Vincent is actually older only by a year, as Raye was adopted by his family at a very young age. He does tend to be a little overprotective at times, but Raye can be pretty hotheaded and stubborn, and she's really a very independent sort of person.
