I only have a couple of plot holes left. I'm trying to think of a way to orchestrate a scene where the evil Queen has a fight with Snow White, because Snow's angry her step-mother's not mourning her dead husband. (Snow's also an orphan now, so she's just a little out of her mind). What could the queen do to set her off? This fight leads to Snow becoming the scullery maid.

Maybe she starts getting rid of zombie-hubby's stuff. Or she talks smack about him to somebody and SW overhears.

Marrying someone else without waiting a decent amount of time, when there isn't a pressing reason to do so like money.

I agree with both comments above. Getting rid of his things and dating and/or marrying again soon.

Selling her wedding ring and/or jewelry he gave her... firing half the castle staff (including all his favorite servants/courtiers) and replacing them with her own stooges ... redecorating the bedroom (or the throne room) ... selling off or killing his favorite horse, hound, hawk, or other pet ...

How about the Queen just gets on with her life with no dramatics? No great displays of grief, no ripping her hair out, dressing all in black, wailing at the top of her lungs all day, locking herself in her room, etc.

Bouncy castle party in the Great Hall.

Festivals celebrating his death.

The Queen eliminating certain powerful courtiers and retainers to consolidate power for herself.

Generally just getting on with things exactly the same way as before his death.

Putting on plays at court that present the dead king in a less than flattering light.

She pull a Hamlet (play, not prince) and get married to the king's killer. Or if he died of nature caused, start a big search for a new husband. Throw balls, invite princes, basically act like a slut.

I agree with everyone else is saying.
