Synopsis: The Mentor

A girl named Falean Alexander is orphaned when she is four years old after her parents are murdered. A man named Aleron Errol, who is given custody of her in her parents' will, raises her. On her thirteenth birthday, he tells her about a world of magic hidden with our own. He also tells her that he is half-wood elf and half-vampire. He takes her to Scotland to train her in magic and fighting. This man, who Falean then realizes she knows nothing about, won't tell Falean much about himself. Falean, who finds a copy of her parents' will, read that she and Aleron "were alike in more ways than one". She also finds out that she is a descendent of Merlin (mother's side) and his arch enemy, Nimue (father's side). This means that she is either destined to save the world, or to destroy it...
