Synopsis: Writer in Residence (working title)

Imagine a world in which companies hire writers to write in their offices for nothing else than the prestige of these Writers in Residence keeping an office with them. Banks, real estate agencies, marketing firms--they all want Writers in Residence to boost their images. Now imagine a writer who accepts a position that isn't even recognized by her colleagues, and must be approved with special permissions by the Writers' Board (on a probationary basis, of course). She struggles to be accepted, to have this organization accepted, and in the process, works literary magic to change the world.
