Brief Author Bio: Hello there :) My name's Owlie, I'm 17 years old and live in the middle of nowhere, so what better way to spend a month than to write a novel? Last year (2007) was the first time I attempted to write anything so extensive, and I managed to get nearly 20,000 words in before life caught up to me and severely cut my concentration on anything besides just getting by. This year I have high hopes of finishing, although I know I'll be extremely busy already during November; my main goal is to complete the novel, even if its ends below (or far higher than) 50k :) Whereas last time I attempted something a little too great and Orwellian for a first-timer like me, this time around, my major inspiration is, of course, Star Trek :D Yup, I'm a BIG time teenage Trekkie, and proud of it. I'm very excited about this novel and I can't wait to start writing it. I think its gonna be a blast. Synopsis: The Light and the Abyss
Nearly a hundred years into to future, mankind has made some amazing technological accomplishments. Theories are produced constantly, changing the way we see things and do things all the time. In an attempt to prove the existence of other dimensions and universes based on the Multiverse Theory, mankind underestimates himself and forms an empty space of pure dark matter in the universe that threatens not only human beings, but all of Earth and the galaxy. In desperation, the world seeks an answer, anything to save them, and a mission is begun--a small group of masters in nearly every field sent together through the darkness, through what they hope is a step in the right direction. Either they will find a solution they couldn't possibly imagine, or must instead find a new home in a strange new universe to carry on humanity itself.
