Excerpt: ~No title yet~
Oh thank goodness! Laura cried and ran to the door, she complained about how late the cake was, payed the delivery man and then ran over and set the cake down on the table. "Come here everyone!" she called, "the cake's here!" Everyone huddled around the table, staring at the white cake box, waiting expectantly. Laura started singing happy birthday, forgetting the candles, and when everyone was done singing she opened the cake box with a flourish. There was silence. Confused, she looked down at the cake, expecting to see the chocolate mouse cake that she ordered with Peter's name in white icing, Instead, there, in front of her, was a blue and white rectangular cake that read, in curly blue icing, “Happy 50th anniversary Mark and Sarah!”
her first reaction was that it wasn't a chocolate mouse cake. Peter hit the floor, he was laughing so hard he couldn't breathe. “AAAAAAHHHH” Laura screamed so loud that Peter snapped right out of his laugh attack. Laura breathed in and everyone covered their ears. “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!”
this time she screamed so long that even Fifi stopped yapping outside and hid under the step.
