So, back in the day, there was an old cheer I learned that made fun of the ditsy blonde cheerleader stereotype. It's a fun cheer for those who are feeling a bit absent-minded, and what better place to feel that then in the middle of a paragraph when you can't get out that word or phrase or concept you desperately need to up your word count by another 5 or 10 words! :)
Thus, while cheering each other on during a Skype-based write-in, I belted out a somewhat modified version of that which was quite lame, but more appropriate to NaNoWriMo. With a little retouching, I think I have made it a bit less lame and a lot more fun to shout:
Go, go, write, write! Gee, I hope I type all right.
This screen, I swear, it's picking up some glare.
Like, totally, for sure, it just might be literature.
Sixteen, Twenty-one, I don't know what page I'm on! Uh-ha!
(The original, for those who are wondering:
Go, go, fight, fight! Gee, I hope I look all right.
This sun, I swear, it's bleaching out my hair.
Like, totally, for sure, I just had a manicure.
Sixteen, Thirty-four, I don't even know the score! Uh-ha!)
Go Writers! :D You can do it!

I'll probably write it down and read it as a chant when I'm in between classes and having to write by hand. xD Because I really need to get up to date with all of my writing and such. Course, what would make me happy right now is going to sleep. But that's not happening for another half an hour when I kick my old roommate out of my room. So I continue to write.

We had a different one, though it was quite similar:
[can't remember the first line]
The sun, I swear, it's bleaching out my hair!
Ninety two, sixty four, I don't even know the score,
Go team, fight fight fight - gee I hope I look alright...
God I haven't sung that for about six years now! Loving your NaNo revamp of it though :P

Ours was pretty similar except for a couple of lines:
" "
The sun, I swear, it bleaches out my golden hair,
...
thirty six, thirty four, I don't really know the score!
Go go fight fight, gee I hope I look all right,
Go ME!!!

How about this old chestnut?
If you're happy and you know it,
WRITE A SCENE!
f you're happy and you know it,
WRITE A SCENE!
f you're happy and you know it,
then your text will surely show it:
f you're happy and you know it,
WRITE A SCENE!
To be sung with variations (eg, "blocked" or "angsty" for happy; "add some verbs" or "exposit" for write a scene).
Enjoy.

HAA! That's great! Now I feel the urge to procrastinate on my NaNo by adapting some of my old softball cheers...
Kind of a fun one:
There was a little froggie sitting on a log
Cheering for my plot to die, he had no sense at all
He fell into the water and bumped his little head
When he got back up again, this is what he said:
"Go, go, go, you mighty, mighty writers,
Write, write, write, you mighty, mighty writers,
Win, win, win, you mighty, mighty writers,
Go! Write! Win! And get those word counts in!"
An echo cheer:
Down the road there's an old cemetary.
That's where this first draft is gonna be buried
Six feet wide, seven feet under.
When we type, we type like thunder!
When we write, we write like lightning!
When we stop, it's kind of frightning...
Chant-and-response (Okay, this one's kind of awkward):
----------I am a writer and you know what I got? (WHAT DO YOU GOT?)
I got a book that's hotter than hot! (HOW HOT IS HOT?)
Plot holes and paddings too, (UH-HUH, UH-HUH!)
I'm gonna write the whoopsies outta you! (THE WHOOPSIES OUTTA YOU!)

God, I haven't seen that original in years, though I remember when we (the marching band) used to chant it at the football games when the cheerleaders did something stupid (we had quite a bit of animosity between the MB and the cheerleaders, and we particularly hated some of their more obnoxious cheers , most of which included spelling errors).
I really like the NaNo version :)

Oh, I love "If you're happy and you know it"! That's going to be very handy.
I need to make one up for a old 70s cheer that Adam Carolla does:
HERE WE COME A TRUCKIN' IN
shh shh shh shh shh
BET YOU WONDER WHERE WE'VE BEEN
shh shh shh shh shh
WE'RE A TEAM THAT CAN'T BE BEAT
shh shh shh shh shh
'CAUSE WE'RE FUNKY ON OUR FEET
shh shh shh shh shh
(You can hear it here: http://www.dolland.net/loveline/sound/songs/index.html)
Then again, I need to make one up for David Allen Grier's "DAG cheer" too. Hmmmmmmm........

Omigosh. As a softball player, I *know* all these, and they are *all* going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the night. XD In writing and/or softball form. Thanks.
Here's one my official cheerleader wrote for me and my army:
"2, 4, 8, 10, Watch Wordcounts go up again!
12, 13, 14 too, Write that plot, it's good for you!"
(Yes, I have an official cheerleader and an army this year... we rock. XD)

How funky is your wordcount?

How loose is your concept?

Ola ola ay
Roll it, roll it to the beat now
I don't know
just what it is,
But [insert team name here] get funky
And [insert team name here] get crazy!

hey, i think i have a cheer to contribute. i think i i'll use it the next time i am doing a five hour challenge with my writing buddy and i get stuck in the same sort of scene:
This is the scene that never ends! It just goes on and on my friends. I just started writing never knowing what it was, and now I'm stuck writing it forever, just because! This is the scene that never ends! It just goes on and on my friends! I just started writing and my friend has already won! It would really be better if I gave up but because! This is the scene that never ends! It just goes on and on my friends! I just can't stop writing because it's simply too much fun! But in writing it my sanity is gone forever just because! This is the scene that never ends!
And it goes on like that for awhile. Mainly because it's based on "The Song That Never Ends".
