I'm at 16k now. I need 4k~ a day to make it to the end by the end of November. This is just a note to myself to keep me hanging in there. I've played nano too many times now to not win and I am GOING to WIN.

If anyone else wants to charge with me into the sunset, post here and we'll try to keep you inspired.

If it's just me so be it.

May I be a knight? Do I need to pass a chivalry test?

Sunset's to your right. I'm at 17.5k and hope to make 20k by the end of the day, it'll give me a little breathing room.

CHARGE KNIGHTS, CHARGE!

And yes you may be a knight. Chivalry test not required. We need all the knights we can muster.

If my math is right (and it's usually not,) I need about 2000 words a day in order to finish.
So, I know that's not as bad as some people but it seems like so much to me!
I can't believe missing/being lazy two-three days this week set me back a bit.

So, hell yeah!! Charge into the sunset with the enemy's severed head held high in the air!

Yes! *pulls out magic wand* Just pretend this is a really blund sword, okay? My parents won't let me play with pointy objects.

My mom and sisters won't let me near any knives or the stove. Oh, or the tea kettle. I'm rather accident prone... In fact, I've got one gnarly looking burn on my arm from putting my arm over the spout of a tea kettle that my mom had just pulled off the burning and it had steam spewing out of it. So yeah, I am a genius.

I'll charge into the sunset, though I fear I'll fall into the ditch halfway.

Count me in! I need to make the wordcount on my profile a reality by the end of the night (I'm actually at 21k).

Hold on, I think I have my coconut shells somewhere here . . . ah, there they are.

Camelot!

Oh . . . wrong knights. Eh-heh.

I'll charge with you guys into the sunset. I know how you feel, I AM going to win this. It won't be pretty, but I will.

No, by all means, keep the coconut shells out. They're perfect. XD

I'll join the knights! I'm on track, but a very good procrastinator. this forum post for example. and I just made the wordle thing on the front page do my entire book (and display it all too) and I picked a pretty colour scheme.
Right, I'm going to work now. Charge knights, charge!

Apparently I need to do 4k a day to make it as well. But I'm hoping to throw the system and do in the region of 10,000 words tonight. And if that isn't a charge I don't know what is!

I'm totally on board! Lets do this thing!

We've still got 20,000 words to go over!
Come on everyone!
We want our names written ALL OVER the Winners List!

I just broke 20,000. I might go for a bit more before I hit the sack tonight.

Time to bust out the bourbon and video games and start looking for some inspiration. MMM yes.

Good work to all of us knights! Let us chase the green sunset of the winner's bar and then when it's all over we'll come into this topic and party.

Gah. D:

I didn't really do much charging. More like limping.

Well, whether we're charging or limping or crawling, we're still going, aren't we?

Now, onward into the sunset! Or is it sunrise? Days and nights are all starting to blend together...

I'll join the charge. I don't have a horse, though, so I'll need a pair of coconut shells. click-clack.

I need to finish this by Tuesday. Or at least get uber-close. Not that my story will be anywhere near done then, but I want the 50k soon.

I need to be at 65k by tonight so can I charge with y'all? I still have a good 15k to go and I REALLY wanted to have enough days to go back and add the random scenes I have typed up!!

HAAAAAAAAAAAAI!

Wait... does that make me a novel samurai?

Who cares? SUNSET HO!

As long as there's still time, it can be done. But you need more than time to reach the goal. You need determination, discipline and at least small amounts of inspiration. You need the guts it takes to sit down and write >4000 words a day. But it can be done. People have been doing it for about a decade.

NaNo HOOOOOO!

I will join our valiant charge! I have calculated it, and I need 4119 words per day for the rest of the month to finish. If I can get to 20,000 tonight, I can get that down to 3750. If I completely ignore my family (who are all here today), and I can get even farther (I know it's a big goal, but I hope to hit 22-25k tonight) I will feel much better about finishing.

Towards the sunset, my fellow NaNo Knights!

I want to be a knight! Except... can I be in the middle?
I get distracted very easily....

The end is in sight. Remember Nemo: just keep writing, just keep writing!

We are the Knights Who Say - oh, erm, I mean, CHARGE!

I need roughly 5k/day to squeak through this. Hopefully, I can make the next 24-hours worth it to whittle that down.

I'm up to 22k knights! I'll easily hit 25k before I go to sleep tonight but I'm hoping for a little more.

Looking through this topic, I'm watching all our word counts slowly rise. This is probably one of the last bastions for people who are still on the road to try and make 50k by November's end.

onwards!!!!

Count me in for trying even though I need nearly 5,300 words per day to get there. But hey, I can't give up this easy, right?
